Siemens is a founding member of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Industrial Collaboration Program (KICP). Siemens prominently participated at the first ever Career Day at KAUST on Wednesday, February 24, 2010.  The KAUST Industrial Collaboration Program (KICP) Career Day goal was to provide KAUST’s graduate students from across science and technology disciplines a range of internships and the ability to explore future job opportunities. The Career Day shows KAUST Industrial Partners’ commitment to support students’ career prospects. 

Siemens participation in KAUST Career Day proved to be successful in attracting more than 300 student visitors. Siemens booth location and design was outstanding compared to the other companies. Siemens representatives eagerly involved in discussion in the booth did a great job and generated high interest. The diverse  representation from the business units from Energy, Business Development, HR and Corporate Communications was effective in communicating the total image of Siemens Ltd.  

Siemens representatives had a great opportunity to explain the Siemens business portfolio including Siemens leadership position in the market, Siemens role, position and scope of work in Saudi Arabia. On the career side, the HR team provided information on internships and employment opportunities within Siemens. The Siemens booth concept was based on showcasing interactive media highlighting Siemens innovations on a global scale and creating a hospitable communication area allowing face to face communication with students.  

The participation at the Career Day has been highly appreciate and welcomed by the University. HR is handling already the first applications of the KAUST Students. The project has been jointly organized by HR and CC of Siemens Saudi Arabia.
