Saudi Water and Power Forum is firmly established as the annual meeting point for the industry, addressing the key strategic and technical issues facing the water and power sectors. SWPF features the international exhibition, which offers companies the opportunity to showcase their product, services and expertise to the most influential decision makers, buyers and users assembled under one roof. SWPF welcomed over 450 delegates, 18 sponsors, 75 exhibitors, 1000 visitors to the exhibition and more than 50 speakers from 14 countries.Firmly established as the mustattend event for the Saudi water & power industry the Forum provided a crucial opportunity for business development, networking and debate. The event was held on Nov.14, 2008 at Jeddah Hilton Hotel under the patronage of Governor of the Makkah Region joined by H.E. Abdullah Al-Hussayen, Minister of Water & Electricity to open this prestigious Forum, which incorporates an international exhibition and strategic conference. Siemens was one of the participants in SWPF and primarily the sponsor for this event. As Mr. Adel Masaad (Director of Sales for Fossil Power Generation) was awarded for being the gold sponsor in SWPF. Furthermore, Siemens proved its unique range of products and services for energy generation, distribution and consumption is both economical and ecological. As a final point, our goal is to make the supply of energy sustainable. To achieve this, we are increasing the efficiency of conventional power plants, expanding the use of renewable energy and developing energy-efficient solutions for buildings, lighting, traffic and industry.
